A Walk on the Wild Side Kruger Safari
Skukuza (restcamp/central Kruger)
Skukuza restcamp is named after the Tsonga name for James Stevenson-Hamilton, the first warden of the park. Literally translated it means 'he who sweeps clean', a reference to his removal of all the local people to make way for the establishment of the Park. The Stevenson-Hamilton Memorial Museum houses many interesting artifacts – very well known is the knife ranger Harry Wolhuter used to single-handedly slay a Lion and save his own life.

Skukuza is the Kruger National Park's largest rest camp and is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. Skukuza Restcamp is home to some interesting birds and amazing plant life.
Accommodation consists of serviced (fresh linen and towels) private Absa Guest House that sleeps 12 people in six two-bedded units. The guesthouse has its own breathtaking views of the bush and Skukuza River where many animals come down to drink in full view of the guest house's outdoor entertainment area. The house also boasts a huge indoor dining room and lounge area and is privately fenced off from the rest of the camp.
Wildlife in this region includes hyena, kudu, wilddogs, giraffe, roan, eland, sable, warthog, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck and rhino.

Family or Small Group Private Kruger safari
Biyamiti Private Bushveld Lodge (private bushveld lodge/south eastern Kruger)
Nestled on the banks of the Biyamiti river, this private bushveld lodge plays host to some of the biggest buffalo herds in the Kruger. Elephants, lion and leopard are frequent visitors to the water pools in front of the lodge, as well as rhino (both white and black rhino) and hyena. Our game drives meander in and out of the river system, up and down rolling hills, and through the mixed thornveld and riverine areas of the Crocodile River.

Accommodation at Biyamiti consists of en-suite cottages that each sleep two people, which are fully serviced under beautiful thatched roofs and very comfortable.

Your guide and chef take up residence in another unit in each location from where they will host your meals, fireside conversations and great hospitality.

Departure day On your last day after breakfast and a gamedrive you will be collected and transferred back to Joburg or Nelspruit.
